This blog is supposed to recreate the feeling of "getting ready" with friends--the way we did in our teens and twenties--before the cost and hassle of babysitting, let alone the rarity of actually going out, made "getting ready" a ridiculous idea. This blog is about what to wear when you teach middle school and always have coffee stains on your shirt, or when you have two minutes to get out the door and drive a messy minivan full of boys to countless sporting events and then have a fancy economist dinner to attend in the evening. I am not a fashionable person at all, and I don't even strive to be, but living in a household full of boys and working full time, I thought it would be fun to focus on girly, mind-numbing things once in a while. So, please join me as I take on the role of yuppy soccer mom grown up and ask myself the age-old question, "Do I look Typical?"
